Carlos, arrived in September 2007
in Châtellerault. They tried several capoeira classes in different groups in the region to continue practicing their passion. Despite great encounters, not having rediscovered the philosophy of the Capoeira Brasil group, Professor Pequeno and Instructor Abelha
decided to create their own association in March 2008: the Espirito Capoeira Brasil association. It allows them to continue the work of their teacher under his coordination while respecting the spirit of the group. That's why they named it Espirito Capoeira Brasil
Despite a difficult start,
The association has become an active element in the life of the town of Châtellerault and the region. It takes part in numerous demonstrations (sports festivals, neighborhood parties, festivals, etc.) and organizes its own events (capoeira festivals, courses, telethons, Brazilian evenings, initiations, etc.).
Since 2008,
Espirito Capoeira Brasil
has gradually developed and diversified while keeping its family philosophy. Today the association offers six courses in 2 different cities.
In addition to the two initial teen/adult courses, a children's course was added in 2012, a samba and baby-capoeira course in 2014. This dynamic association continues to evolve for ever greater conviviality. Today, since 2016, we have been present in La Roche Posay and since 2023 in Chauvigny!
In 2024 Porfessor awarded the rank of instructor to Sedutor and Casado. The first teachers trained in Châtellerault!
